The next time you bump into something, or are suddenly jarred by a loud noise or alarm, or drop something, take those and other instances as signals for you to check yourself if your mind has distracted you; if you have floated along in some mindless ego babble, or frolicking in a ‘mental party’ with you being recipient of any possible damage or harm.
Make self-inquiries. Be honest and truthful when you answer how you are feeling, where your mind is and how clear is your perception and awareness. When you question yourself, you bring yourself back to the present, to the here and now—your awareness is there…it is on and you are focused once again.
